I hope everyone has enjoyed the start of their 2010 – 2011 winter hockey season and I wish everyone the best of luck and success with the current minor hockey team this season.
At this time I would like to update everyone on the process for the 2011 (spring) Hockey Prospects Program. For the 2011 spring season and onward the Halifax Hockey Group (HHG) will run the Hockey Prospects Spring Program under the entity of the Halifax Hockey Group Banner.
Teams that will be put together for the spring of 2011 will consist of 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003. Additional components of the spring will include a U15 (1997) and a U14 (1998) training camp as well as a 2004 (developmental program).
Each team (1999 to 2003) will be comprised of 17 players (2 goalies – 6 defense – 9 forwards) for tournament play. Please note the 1999 Team may have a slightly different process however everyone will be notified in a timely fashion.
Our teams will NOT host tryouts; players will be selected based on assessments by the HHG staff during your son or daughters minor hockey teams schedule and game play.
This process will not be an easy task as there are many quality players in HRM and surrounding areas. However HHG is committed to all advanced players beyond this 6 to 8 week spring season by running yearly High Performance Programs that will assist in the continued growth and development of your child’s skill sets.

- Game package of jersey and socks will be approximately $75.00.
- Individual sponsorships are a possibility.
